Grand Coulee Police

10/21 - A man was trapped inside of a motorhome on Cardinal Road by wood and other debris placed in front of its door by a woman from whom he was supposedly buying it. While he was in jail, she had moved the motorhome onto another woman’s property, who wanted her and her boyfriend banned from the property. Police told them they were banned, and that the motorhome issue was a civil matter.

10/23 - Damage was reported to a business sign on Midway Avenue. It was suspected to be possible retaliation for an altercation between the business owner’s husband and another man.

- Police responded to a report of a possible assault on Continental Heights. They found a man sitting on a bench with blood around his mouth. He wouldn’t talk to police but was taken to the hospital. The reporting party said the man had been drinking with another man. Police spoke to that other man, who said they had been drinking, and the man with blood on his mouth had fallen down because he couldn’t hold his liquor. An EMS worker said that seemed consistent with the injured man’s known history.

10/24 - No dog was found in the hospital parking lot where a loose one had been reported.

- A semi-truck was reportedly driving in the middle of the Columbia River bridge, then driving in multiple lanes heading south up the hill along SR-155. Police located the semi, followed it, and didn’t note any lane violations.

- An aggressive dog was located on rocks between the overlook just above Grand Coulee Dam and the Crescent Bay boat launch. A woman reported she had garbed its the leash, but the dog slipped out of the collar. The name on the tag of the dog was Bubba, but no other information was on the tag.

10/26 - Police stopped a white truck near four-corners following a report of an incident at Banks Lake Pub. One of the passengers, a woman, was said to have punched a couple of men outside the pub, neither of whom wished to press charges. She was also said to have lunged at the bartender, who wanted all of the passengers in the truck, five in total, banned from the pub.

- A woman on Palmer Avenue reported a neighbor parking his truck on her property after being told not to. An officer told her she could have it towed at her expense if she wished. Police were unable to contact the owner of the truck, but left a card requesting he move the vehicle.

- Electric City city hall reported wanting a vehicle removed from their parking lot, parked there with campaign signs in the windows without permission. The owner was said to be bird hunting, and not returning until later. That information was relayed to city hall.

- An intoxicated male who refused to leave the hospital was given a ride home to Roosevelt Drive.

- An altercation at a trailer park involved the park cleaner telling a resident to keep his dog on a leash, which led to an exchange of profanities between the two men. They were told to stay separated, and the one with the dog was told to keep it on a leash.

- A suspicious man was reportedly looking around with a flashlight at a Coulee Boulevard residence. The owner confronted the man, who took off on a bicycle. Police were unable to locate him.

10/25 - A suspicious male was reported to have snuck up on a female at the Grand Coulee Dam Visitor Center, and when she turned around, ran into the shadows. The report was forwarded to the Grand Coulee Police Department, which holds the police contract for the dam.
