CITY OF GRAND COULEE

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City Council of the City of Grand Coulee in the Council Chambers, 306 Midway Avenue, Grand Coulee, Washington, on April 16, 2019, at 6 p.m.

The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons.

Up to $750,000 may be available to the City of Grand Coulee on a statewide competitive basis to fund public facility, community facility, economic development, planning and affordable housing projects that principally benefit low- and moderate-income persons.

An outline of the proposed Wastewater Treatment Facility Improvements Planning project will be available for review at the City Hall, April 2, 2019. Comments may also be submitted in writing to the City, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 .m., Monday through Friday, prior to the public hearing.

The Council Chambers is handicap accessible. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate special needs, including handicap accessibility or interpreter, will be made upon receiving 24-hour advance notice. PUBLIC NOTICE

Central Washington Asphalt, Inc., PO Box 939, Moses Lake, WA 98837, is seeking coverage under the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Sand and Gravel General Permit.

 The portable facility, known as HP805C Almix Hot Plant, is or will be, located at Bizzy Pit, Milepost 25 SR 174) in Grand Coulee, in Lincoln County. Activities at the portable facility will include hot mix asphalt production and are due to start up on April 20, 2019. This facility will discharge process water and / or stormwater to NO LOCATION.

Ecology developed the Sand and Gravel General Permit with the expectation that sites covered under this permit will meet water quality standards including antidegradation requirements under WAC 173-201A-320. Any person desiring to present their views to the Department of Ecology regarding this application may do so in writing within thirty days of the last date of publication of this notice. Comments shall be submitted to the Department of Ecology. Any person interested in the department’s action on this application may notify the department of their interest within thirty days of the last date of publication of this notice.

Mosquito District POSITION #4 VACANCY

Electric City is requesting letters of interest to fill position #4 on the Grant County Mosquito District No. 2 Board. The Mosquito District meets monthly on the second Thursday of every month and is a volunteer position. Please mail or hand deliver a letter of interest addressed to Mayor John T.
