Vonna Lee Harrison, 76, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019, in Spokane, Washington from pancreatic cancer. She was born in Tonasket, Washington September 28, 1942, to the late Sidney Lloyd Atchison and Harriet May (Newman) Atchison.
Vonna grew up in Tonasket, and she maintained ties to the community through former classmates and family. She was a long time resident of the Grand Coulee area, and was known to many as the former manager and owner of the Sage Inn (Sierra's) Restaurant and Lounge. She was a hard-working woman with strong work ethics, which she instilled in her children.
Vonna is survived by her children: Fred Graves (Patty), Steven Graves (Nikki), and Ronda Townsend (Scott). Survivors also include grandchildren: Josh Story, Justin and Zachary Graves, Kyle and Dillon
Graves and Sierra Townsend; great-grandchildren Loren, Carson, Jovi, Kristina, Kayden, Kylie, Kyron, Kazden, Kadin, Kolby, Chaylee, Jaycie and Lincoln. Other surviving family include siblings: Ronald Atchison, Krystine Rose, Edna Hauser, Raymond Atchison and Rosalee Cooper; many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews and greatly loved Aunt Lorraine Green.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Sidney Atchison, sister Lloydeen Atchison, and spouses Donald Kennedy and Maxwell Harrison.
Vonna's love of all things involving family brought her great joy; and she cherished camping adventures, road trips, game playing and family reunions. She was a fantastic cook and was always requested to make one of her famous homemade apple pies for family gatherings. Vonna was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to all; and was always available to listen and help.
We all loved her so very much and miss her terribly.
A graveside service is planned for Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 11a.m. at Spring Canyon Cemetery, near Grand Coulee, with Pastor Steve Archer officiating. A celebration of life will be held immediately afterward at the Eagles Lodge in Grand Coulee.
Strate Funeral Home, Grand Coulee, is handling arrangements.
