10/28 - Police were unable to locate a stolen vehicle that Colville Tribal Police suspected could be on Weil Place.

10/29 - A man and woman at North Dam Park were reported to be suspicious, possibly arguing and possibly on drugs. The woman reportedly had slammed a gate open. An officer spoke to the pair, noting they didn’t appear to be on drugs and were just walking through the park.

- Police helped dispose of a fawn with a broken leg on Roosevelt Drive.

- A Prims Pl. woman reported seeing a man she thought was stealing a bike. Talking with the neighbors clarified he had permission to use the bike.

- A Dill Ave. woman said she hasn’t had a good night’s rest for two days due to the bass on a neighbor’s music. An officer contacted the neighbor, who turned down his music.

- An officer helped Coulee Dam police in a DUI situation at Green Field in Coulee Dam.

10/30 - An officer told a woman that she had to leave a Main St. man’s apartment after she had refused to do so at the man’s request.

- A Coulee Blvd. man reported six golf-cart-sized batteries stolen from his property. The batteries would have been worth a few dollars each if turned in.

- An officer put a deer out of its misery near the entrance of Sunbanks Lake Resort. The deer was mortally wounded.

- A Grand Ave. woman reported hearing someone prowling around her house, and hearing something hit her house. An officer was unable to find anyone in the area.

10/31 - A driver pulled over at the visitor center for having an improperly lit license plate had a suspended license. He secured his vehicle in the parking lot and was given a courtesy ride to the Coulee Dam Casino, where he works.

- An Electric City man reported that his computer opened up to a locked red screen, and when he called the number on the screen it enabled someone to take $899 from his bank account. The man said that his antivirus software had expired, enabling the theft to take place.

- An officer is requesting city council label a Grand Coulee Ave. dog a nuisance animal for consistent barking.

- A Dill Ave. man agreed to turn down his music. The issue of his loud music is a frequent one.

- A passenger in a car police had pulled over for having expired tabs was taken to Grant County Jail on a warrant.

- A driver pulled over near Federal Ave. for not having a license plate was cited for that, as well as for not having insurance.

11/1 - A man pulled over on Midway Ave. for having an expired registration was issued a citation for that, as well as for driving without insurance.

- A woman was cited for driving with a suspended license after being pulled over near the overlook area just above Grand Coulee Dam for having an inoperable license plate light.

- A driver was cited for driving with a suspended license after being pulled over near Pepper Jack’s on Midway for not having license plates on his car. The man said he had just bought the car and had been unable to register it in his name due to time and his schedule.

11/2 - Rex, a designated dangerous dog, was running around at large in Electric City. The dog owner’s father was given custody of the dog, rather than the dog being impounded, with the agreement that the requirements of having a dangerous dog needed to be met within seven days.

- A man known to be wanted on a warrant was arrested after being spotted on Cardinal Road and taken to Grant County Jail.

- A Grand Coulee officer, along with two Soap Lake officers, assisted with an uncooperative person trespassing in a pasture on SR-17, about a mile south of Highway 2 west of Coulee City. He was surrounded by officers and eventually placed in cuffs.

- A man known to be wanted on a warrant was spotted near the Grand Coulee Police Station, placed under arrest, and taken to Coulee City, where he was transferred to a Grant County Deputy who finished taking him to Grant County Jail.

11/3 - Two officers arrived at a domestic violence situation reported on Kent Street by a neighbor. The man inside allegedly attempted to close the door in the officers’ faces and lock it, but they pushed it open and placed the man in cuffs. The man struggled while being arrested. The woman inside said the man had come home drunk and struck her with a can. The woman received some medical attention for some bleeding near her temple, and the man was charged with second-degree assault and resisting arrest.

- A man going 54 miles per hour in the 35-mph zone on SR-174 near Burdin Blvd. was issued a speeding ticket.

11/4 - A woman was cited for driving while under the influence of alcohol after being pulled over on Federal Ave. for having a broken headlight and a broken license plate light.

- A Burdin Blvd. man said he has been harrassed multiple times via the phone by a one-eyed man with an unknown last name.

11/5 - An officer helped place loose dogs in their owner’s yard on Butler Square.

Coulee Dam

10/30 - A Columbia Ave. woman reported that a man, whom she identified by name, rang her doorbell and ran off two nights in a row. The woman said she was scared because she lived alone. Another Columbia Ave. resident reported the same man doing the same thing. Police contacted him at his Lincoln Ave. address and told him not to knock on people’s doors that he had no business knocking on. The man seemed to not understand, the officer noted. The officer explained that police had received several calls from people about him knocking on their doors and running away, and that it scared them, and that if he continued to do so he would be arrested for trespassing. The man asked if he could go to strip clubs, a question to which the officer didn’t know how to respond because it was so off topic. The officer left.

10/31 - A man was taken to Okanogan County Jail on a felony warrant after he was reported as an unwanted person at a Central Dr. residence. The man was on a back porch, and when an officer said he wanted to talk to him, the man turned his back to the officer, and walked backwards toward him with his arms up. The officer placed him in cuffs.

11/1 - A man returned to his Birch home to find the sliding glass door ajar. An officer checked to make sure no one was in the house, and the man said he didn’t notice anything missing.

- A man in his 40s told police he had never had a driver license in any state at any time and was cited for driving without a license. He had been pulled over on SR-155 for not having a visible rear license plate. A license plate was in the rear window but couldn’t be seen due to the dark tint of the glass.
