Sharene (Sherry) Lee Dotson, 75, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at her home in Electric City, Washington. Sherry was born on July 15, 1943, in Portland, Oregon to James (Marvin) and Edna Marie White. She attended grade school and high school in Winston, Oregon. She married Loren Dotson in Roseburg, Oregon, in November 1960. Loren and Sherry lived in Klamath Falls; Las Vegas; Livermore, California and Eugene, Oregon before arriving in the Grand Coulee Dam Area in the early '70s, where they eventually settled. Sherry lost her beloved husband, high school sweetheart and best friend, Loren, in 2012.

A stay-at-home Mom while her children were young, she also did in-home daycare and school volunteering. She held positions as school secretary at the Grand Coulee Dam Middle School, worked in administration for the Bureau of Reclamation and retired as the Superintendent's Secretary at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area.

Sherry enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening, traveling and taking meticulous care of her home. But what she most enjoyed was spending time with her family and being lovingly involved in their lives. She was "Grandma Sherry" not only to her own grandkids, but also to their friends. She will be dearly missed.

Besides her husband, Sherry was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James (Jim) White. She is survived by her three children: Lorie (Mike) Carstensen, Jim (Deborah) Dotson, and Ken (Denise) Dotson, along with 13 grandchildren: Blinn (Addie) Carstensen, Jake Carstensen, Justin (Theresa) Carstensen, Jordan, Noah, Seth, Camille (Steve), Adam, Rose, Isaac, Gabriel, Nathan and Peter Dotson, and great-grandchildren Blake, Brody, Brock, Trey and Elle Carstensen.

At Sherry's request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a donation of your choice. Strate Funeral Home, Grand Coulee, is caring for the Dotson Family.
