Raider cross country traveled to Liberty Bell for the league championship meet.

LR's top finisher for the boys was Kyle Edmo, who placed 12th out of 70 runners with a finishing time of 19 minutes and one second.

"I was very pleased with Kyle Edmo," Head Coach Brian Daniels said. "He ran a really good second half of his race."

LR's top female runner was Kayla St. Pierre, who placed 11th out of 30 runners with a time of 23:14.

"It was a cold and wet race," said Daniels. "It rained the entire time that we were there."

The challenging course followed primarily dirt roads and trails that circled the athletic fields at Liberty Bell High School. "It was a pretty rugged course, unlike ones that we've encountered this season," Daniels said.

"The girls ran well but had a lot of opposition from the other teams, especially Liberty Bell," Daniels said. "They are going to have to run hard at districts to catch those girls."

The track team moves onto districts today, Oct. 25, at Walla Walla Point Park in Wenatchee, with the girls slated to start things off at 2 p.m.

The top 28 boys' race finishers and top seven girls will move on to the state competition.
