Mikel Porter Cunningham, 64, of Grand Coulee, Washington, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017, in Yakima, Washington. He was born October 26, 1952, in Sandpoint, Idaho, to Loren and Imogene Cunningham, and moved to Grand Coulee as an infant, where he lived most of his life at the family ranch. He graduated in 1971, from the last graduating class at Grand Coulee High School. He worked for the labor union for 10 years and owned his own excavation business for several years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and quick wit.

He is survived by his brothers: Mark Baughman, of Electric City, Washington; Patrick (Kathy) Cunningham, of Grand Coulee; his sister, Christie (Tom) Bruno of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, as well as several nieces, nephews and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Susan Porter.

Rest in peace, Mike. You were a good brother, uncle and friend. You will be missed.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 17, at 11 a.m. at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Grand Coulee, with a reception to follow at the Eagles Lodge.
