Alvin "Papa" Gus Toulou, born January 27, 1925, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at the age of 92.

Alvin was born to parents Clarence Toulou and Alice Butler in their family home in Covada, Washington. He proudly served in the Navy for nearly three years during WWII. In 1987, Alvin attended a Cursillo, beginning his lifelong service to the Lord. In 1999 he was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church. In his lifetime he was employed by Spokane Transit Authority, Inchelium School District and loved being a barber.

Alvin is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne (Gendron) Toulou, brothers: Charlie and Clell Toulou; sister, Elsie; grandson, Christopher Pachosa, and great-grandchildren: Justina, Amadee and Alvin Nomee.

He is survived by his daughters: Jeanne (Jack) Pachosa, Melanie (Rouke) vand der Veen, Sandy (Dann) Breidenbach, Alvina "Chickie" (Patrick) Warren, and Dina (Milton) Nomee; 12 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services were held in Inchelium on February 15,2017.
