Barbara Marie Lackner

Barbara Marie Lackner passed away Monday, January 2, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. Barbara was born to Lloyd and Mary Virgo April 28, 1948. She lived on the family farm in Stevinson, California, until she married the love of her life, Michael Lackner, June 5, 1965. They had three children while living near Stevinson until they moved to Coulee Dam, Washington, in 1979. Barbara enjoyed gardening with Mike. She was always redecorating one room or another in the homes she was so proud of. Her favorite place was in the kitchen, cooking for family and friends. She ran a successful bake shop in Grand Coulee, Washington, for several years. She was always happiest surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband of over 51 years; her daughter, Michelle (Jim) of Mansfield, Washington; sons: Alan (Callie) of Noxon, Montana, and Kevin of Schenectady, New York; her beloved grandchildren: Jamie (Derick), Jared (Jessie), Jeremy (Tasha), Austin, Alana, Shelby, Blake, Wyatt; great-grandchildren: Jeffrey and Courtney; brother, Lloyd Virgo; sister, Marlene Virgo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
