Chamber To Meet

The Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon this Thursday, October 6, at the Moose Lodge in Grand Coulee. Tom Poplawski will be speaking about the Almira/Coulee Dam Community Church and its launch on October 9.

Grant County PUD Offices Closed for Training

Grant PUD’s offices in Moses Lake, Ephrata, Quincy, Royal City and Grand Coulee will be closed on Monday, Oct. 10, for training. The Grant PUD Call Center will be open from 8 a.m. to noon. Our offices and call center will resume normal hours on Tuesday, Oct. 11. For more information, call 509-766-2505.

American Legion to Meet

The American Legion Post 157 regular meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 9 at Vthe et Center in Electric City.

Local AA Meetings

Confused in the Coulee AA meetings are held on Mondays and Fridays at 6 p.m. at the Vets Center in Electric City. Call Paul at 633-3377 days or 633-3345 evenings. New Hope Group meetings are held Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at the Vets Center. These are open and non-smoking.

In Nespelem, the group Bound and Determined holds its meetings Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Contact Myrna at 634-4921 for more information.

TOPS Meetings

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 1524 meets on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. at Grand Coulee Senior Center prior to the exercise group gathering at 10 a.m. Come and join for the health of it. The SAIL exercise class follows this meeting beginning at 10 a.m. There is no charge. Also, a SAIL exercise class is held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 3 to 4 p.m., in the basement of the Coulee Dam town hall.

Care and Share Food Bank Is Open Fridays

The food bank at the Church of the Nazarene has normal operating hours every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. It is located at the Church of Nazarene, Hwy 174, Grand Coulee.
