Dorothy Mae Litz, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 4, 2015, in Grand Coulee, Washington, surrounded by loved ones.

Dorothy was born in Pownell, Maine on August 27, 1919; at 16, she moved to Boise, Idaho. On March 2, 1936, Dorothy married Henry Litz and had four children: Lawrence (Shirley) Litz, Missouri; Donna (Robert) Riley, Elmer City Washington; Millie (Chuck) Goodall, Grand Coulee, Washington; and John (Julie) Litz, Boise, Idaho. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was a very loving person and a very excellent cook, baker, cake decorator, and seamstress. She loved fishing and camping; she also loved playing cards, dominoes, and dice games. She always was very kind and always wanted the very best for all of those around.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at Terrace Lawn Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.

The family want to thank Dr. Andrew Castrodale for his wonderful care throughout the years. In addition, the absolutely excellent care provided by the nursing staff was not only compassionate, but warm and kind hearted. Dorothy will be greatly missed by friends and family and will never be forgotten.
