Nelson W. Snedeker

Nelson W. Snedeker was born May 30, 1918, in Perkasie, Penn. A veteran of WWII. Nelson married Luray Cliver, Colmar, Penn., on April 13, 1950. They spent several years traveling the U.S. and settled in San Diego, Calif. Nelson was employed by the Solar Aerospace Division of International Harvester. He loved sailing the Pacific coast. When he retired they started traveling again and in 1987 bought a home next to Luray’s sister, Gail Allen in Grand Coulee, Wash.

Luray passed away on April 6, 1992. In 2006 Nelson and Gail both sold their homes and moved to Spokane, Wash., to be near Gail’s daughter. Gail was Nelson’s caregiver until his passing on January 29, 2015, at 96 years old. He had a very interesting and full life.

He is survived by two sisters, Doris Leotta and Nancy Patton of Perkasie, Penn., and nieces Sandy Derau, Wickenburg, Ariz., and Theresa Allen, Spokane, Wash.

Nelson’s favorite charity was the Wounded Warrior Project.
