No Noon Chamber Meeting, Banquet Instead

The Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce will not meet this Thursday at noon due to the Installation and Awards Banquet being held at 6 p.m. at Pepper Jack’s Bar & Grille.

Tax Forms Available

For those needing 1040 forms and instruction books, they can be picked up at the Grand Coulee Dam Senior Center on Main Street in Grand Coulee.

Hay Meeting

The Mid-Columbia Basin Hay Growers Association Annual Meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at Big Bend Community College, ATEC Building 1800. For more information call 509.754.2011 ext. 4313.

Connecting for Youth

Teachers, School Adminis-trators, teens who mentor youth, 4-H volunteers, every 4-H family, you are invited to join in a great opportunity to learn and partner with other community organizations.

Thursday, Feb. 12, 6:30 – 8 p.m. join 14 states, territories and provinces in a webinair “Widening the Circle: Special Connections.” It will be held at the Okanogan County WSU Extension Office, Room 101 in the courthouse I Okanogan. This is a no-cost event and registration is not required. For more information call 422-7245.

Food Bank

The food bank at the Church of the Nazarene normal operating hours are every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. It is located at the Church of Nazarene, hwy 174, Grand Coulee. The bank still can use clean plastic grocery bags.

Open Sewing at

Senior Art Room

Tuesdays from 1-5 p.m. there will be open sewing at the senior center art room. There is no charge. For more information contact Marlene Oddiee of KISSed Quilts, 509.386.5715.

Local AA Meetings

Confused in the Coulee AA meetings are held on Mondays at 7 p.m., Friday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.. at the Vets Center in Electric City. Call Paul 633-3377 days or 633-3345 evenings. New Hope Group meetings are held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Vets Center. For more information call John 633-2448. These are open and non-smoking.

In Nespelem the group Bound and Determined holds its meetings Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Contact Myrna 634-4921 for more information there.

American Legion

Post 157 Meets

The American Legion Post 157 holds legion meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Vets’ Center in Electric City. All veterans are welcome. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 10. For more information contact Jerry at 633-2579.

TOPS Meetings

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 1524 meets on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. at Grand Coulee Senior Center prior to the exercise group gathering at 10 a.m. Come and join for the health of it.

Due to popular demand the Chapter TOPS #WA1554 will be meeting Wednesdays with weighin from 5 to 5:30 p.m., and the meeting from 5:30 to 6:30, prior to the SAIL exercise class which starts at 6:30. They meet at the Coulee Dam Community Church-Presbyterian.
