John B. Klobucher was born May 24, 1920, in Spokane and passed away January 24, 2014, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

Other than his service in the Army during WWII, he lived his whole life in the Grand Coulee area. He was a master carpenter and had an ingenious way of building and/or fixing anything. Those skills were used working on almost every dam on the Columbia River. He retired from Grand Coulee Dam in 1985.

He met Bobbie while stationed in Florida and they were married May 3, 1945. He brought her out to the Wild West where their daughter Janice and son Dan were born. They enjoyed many years camping, hunting and fishing.

Beside Bobbie, his wife of almost 69 years, John is survived by his two kids, three granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.

The family plans to have a celebration of his life on Saturday, May 24, 2014, which would have been his 94th birthday.

Friends and neighbors are invited to drop by and share stories and remember what a wonderful man he was.

The family requests donations may be made to the Grand Coulee Dam Senior Center in John's memory.
