Larry Peha, 67, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, in Davenport, Washington. He was born on May 12, 1944, in Wilbur, to Ludwig and Dorothy (Dietrich) Peha. Larry attended schools in the area, graduating from Almira High School in 1962. He married Marjorie Evelyn Kruger in Almira on June 19, 1965.

He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, past member of Almira Lions Club and served a term as Zone Chairman, Past 7th degree member of Highland Grange, Past Lincoln Mutual #1 board member, and was a member of the Almira Gun Club. He enjoyed fishing, shooting and other outdoor activities. He made radio-controlled airplanes for several years.

Larry is survived by his wife Marjorie, at the home in Almira; four sons: Loren Peha and Lisa of Almira, Darren Peha and Tonja of Spokane, Ryan Peha and Deborah of Almira, and Chris-Allen Peha and Jennifer of Walla Walla; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ludwig and Dorothy Peha.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Wilbur Lutheran Church, Wilbur, with Pastor Mike Nelson officiating. Memorials may be made to the Almira Fire Department, Lincoln Hospital Foundation, or to the donor’s choice. Strate Funeral Home, Wilbur, is caring for the family.
