Logan Marconi placed second in the 800-meter run and is moving on to the state track and field championships in Yakima this week. Raider runners, throwers and jumpers scored highly at the Tonasket Small School Meet April 25, then applied themselves at the Rieke Invitational on Friday, placing well among 15 schools. After a week of holding two opponents scoreless in four games, the Lady Raiders ended their last game too early Friday when Presley Steffens suffered a broken leg. It happened at Liberty Bell High School, where Steffens was making a play at second base to put out a runner who slid into her.
