  • Weather a factor for Raider track

    John McNeil II|Apr 2, 2014

Raider track and field athletes traveled north to Colville for the Ezra Gordon Invitational Saturday, where a thunder storm caused a three-hour lightning delay. When hail came down at 7 p.m., the meet was called off due to another round of lightning. “Despite the adverse conditions, the athletes competed with strong efforts and improved their personal records,” Head Coach Lori Adkins said. “We as coaches were very proud of their performances.” On the track, Nathaniel Hall, Will Friedlander, and Shania Carson all improved their 100-met... Full story

  • Lady Raiders push ahead to league play

    John McNeil II|Apr 2, 2014

Lady Raider softball closed out non-league play March 25 against the Tonasket Tigers at Grand Coulee. Lake Roosevelt scored more runs than in their previous four games combined, but that was not enough as the Tigers came out the victors, 22-8. Pitching remains a big problem for LR as 15 Tigers were walked and 10 hit by pitch to give Tonasket 25 free base runners. “This is a big problem we need to fix as a team,” Head Coach Jamie Lezard said. He also said the team needs to commit fewer mental errors that allow the other teams to score. Lady Raid... Full story

Raider Baseball suffered from early season jitters last week as they lost to the Warriors of Almira/Coulee-Hartline March 18, and on March 22 in a doubleheader against Okanogan. In the first game against the Bulldogs the Raiders did mount a seventh-inning rally and looked to force the game into extra innings, but the Bulldogs got the last out for the final score of 9-5, Okanogan. John McNeil II|Mar 26, 2014

Lady Raider Softball had a tough week to open the season. Lake Roosevelt struggled on defense and on the mound, giving up many walks. Out in the field, errors allowed runs to be scored and runners to get on base. Offensively the Lady Raider bats also struggled to get runners on base and in scoring position. Head Coach Jamie Lezard hopes to improve in all areas for the upcoming games.
