    Virgil "Smoker" Marchand said he is ready to start his 7-foot-tall sculpture of Lake Roosevelt schools mascot that will be placed at the front of the new school.   • Kole Galbraith awarded Fulbright Scholarship to teach English

    Kole Galbraith, son of Colville tribal member Lorena Boyd and Allan Galbraith, grandson to Larry and Gerry Boyd, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in the small, rural village of Bad-Aussee, Austria. He was awarded the scholarship at the conclusion of his studies at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. Not so for 193 Lake Roosevelt High School students who took part in a "Spending Frenzy" last week, learning about money management and having fun while doing it.
