    Grand Coulee Police 9/15 - Police saw a stolen vehicle near King Avenue and Dill Street and told the occupants to put their hands outside the vehicle. They did so for a while, but then the driver put his hands back into the vehicle and sped off to the Delano area at a high rate of speed. Police followed, and eventually three people fled the vehicle. Coulee Dam police assisted in making sure the vehicle was unoccupied. A gun, knives, and a phone were among items taken.     Grand Coulee Police 9/9 - A fight occurred at the golf course involving a woman who was picking up golf balls with her dogs while a couple was golfing. The dogs allegedly approached the couple, and an argument and fight ensued. The woman said that she was threatened and assaulted, but the couple said the woman assaulted them. Police collected photographs of injuries.     Grand Coulee Police 9/3 - Police went to Grand Coulee Avenue where someone was concerned that a person riding a motorcycle on a neighbor’s property might not have permission to do so. The neighbor appreciated the concern, but the motorcycle rider was allowed to be there. - Two men riding a motorcycle hit a deer near Butler Square and Grand Coulee Avenue, carried it 50-100 feet, and crashed into a guardrail.     Grant County Health District (GCHD) is offering free COVID vaccine clinics at NCW Libraries Grant County community library locations. This Saturday the clinic will be available from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Grand Coulee Library (across from Les Schwab).     Grand Coulee Dam area residents may dispose of household hazardous waste for free on Friday, September 16 from 12 pm to 4 pm at the Delano Regional Transfer Station. This event is for waste generated by households only. Participants must remain in their vehicles and all waste must be in the trunk or the bed of a pickup. Containers will not be returned. Joanne Percy started her new position on Tuesday, August 16, taking on the role of the previous branch librarian, Catherine Matthews. Percy grew up in a tiny village in rural Norfolk, England. After graduating from high school, she spent a couple of years traveling around England and Scotland before attending university and earning a BA in English Literature and Philosophy.
