    Zion Lutheran Church is busy preparing to celebrate it’s 75th Anniversary. Pastor Hugo Guerney came to town in 1935. Zion was incorporated on October 4, 1937, and has been a part of the community ever since. The 75th Anniversary celebration will be on Sunday, October 7 with former Pastor Dan Wurster preaching at the regular morning service at 11 am.     Grant County residents can get food worker cards online The Grant County Health District is pleased to announce the availability of food worker card classes on the internet for Grant County residents. Residents will need a credit card and printer. To get your food worker card over the internet go to: http://foodworkercard.wa.gov or www.granthealth.org With the convenience of the internet class, the Moses Lake Health District office will no longer be offering the 5 p.m. class on Thursdays.     Grand Coulee Police 9/17 - A woman on 2nd Street in Electric City told police that she was in the process of moving out of a house and that when she went there the next day the front door had been broken into. She asked for special patrols so it wouldn’t happen again. - Whitley Fuel advised police that a customer reported that a man was harassing customers at their Grand Coulee station.     Twenty-three employers are confirmed exhibitors for the Fall Hiring Event at Big Bend Community College on Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the ATEC Building.     Grand Coulee Police 9/12 - A man who used his credit card to buy cigarettes later noticed it missing. The store where he’d used it didn’t have it, but someone must have taken his card from the counter. More than $400 in clothing was charged to it and sent to a house in Omak. The card was cancelled and police in Omak are checking on the delivery site. - An Electric City woman living on West Grand called police to say a goat was in an alley behind her place.     Grand Coulee Police 9/3 - Police were told a man was going to kill himself. He was reached near Martin Road and told the officer that did indeed want to kill himself because of stress and said he was just putting his plan together. The officer took the man to Coulee Medical Center where he was put in the care of a mental health official. 9/5 - Two people who went to the hospital to visit a patient scared the patient, who asked medical workers if one of them had a gun.     A community youth group will be starting up again under the director of Pastor Kevin Lind of the Coulee Dam Community Presbyterian Church and Pastor Adrian Harris of the Grand Coulee Church of the Nazarene.
