Grand Coulee Police 2/17 - A woman complained of two dogs, one black and one brown, that charged her, barking. The incident occurred near Park and Lincoln Streets in Electric City. An officer couldn’t find the two dogs. 2/18 - Police responded to a reported drug overdose on Kelso Avenue in Electric City. A woman stated she had taken a number of pills. The seniors accept aluminum cans ONLY. Please do not put cardboard, plastic bottles or other aluminum in the collection sacks. In 2013, the Seniors collected 3800 pounds (almost 2 tons) of cans and took in approximately $1500 for the Senior Center. That is approximately 30 cans for everyone in the Grand Coulee Dam area. The program helps keep the doors open at the seniors and keeps the cans out of the landfills. Grand Coulee Police 2/10 - A woman’s car slid off the road on SR-174 near the Crown Point exit. Jack’s towing removed the car and there were no injuries. 2/11 - A man who owns a home on 3rd Street NE in Electric City told police that a neighbor informed him that someone had driven up close to his garage. Since the man was away at the time, he asked police to look into the matter. Grand Coulee Police 2/4 - A Grand Coulee man reported the theft of some medications and $20 cash. When police asked him about it, he replied that he didn’t want to be contacted by police. The officer provided the man with a statement form. 2/5 - A woman on B Street told police that her intoxicated boyfriend yelled at her and threatened to throw her out of the house. Who goes swimming in January? Colville Reservation youth do if they participated in 4-H YFP (Youth and Families with Promise)! Every Saturday in January through Feb. 1, has been filled with bus rides to the YMCA in Spokane, so that Keller youth could participate in swimming lessons and free swim time in an indoor pool. Grand Coulee Police 1/27- Police went to Coulee Medical Center on a request from mental health officials who had an active pickup order on a person at the hospital. A medical doctor told police that they were not needed, so they left the facility until later when they learned that the man was wanted out of Mattawa for first-degree robbery.
