Flying proud in remembrance

The American flag meets a rainbow Monday at Coulee Dam's Freedom Point plaza, built in August 2002 to honor emergency workers following the nation's 9/11 shock. The two pillars on each side of the flagpole represent the Twin Towers. A plaque reads: "This memorial is dedicated to honor our community and national emergency personnel.
