City starts shopping for police services

Electric City will begin shopping around for possible providers of police services, voting Tuesday night to send out a request for proposals to nearby agencies, including other cities’ departments and county sheriff’s offices.

The RFP seeks a comprehensive, turnkey law enforcement package. The selected agency would be responsible for:
