Christopher William Fields

Christopher William Fields was born on February 3, 1973, in Brewster, Washington, to Edward and Jan Fields.

He grew up in Coulee City with his mother, Jan, stepfather, Rod Webster, and sister, Jennifer. Chris loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping in the beautiful surrounding area. He was always happiest around a campfire, often tending and building it himself while spending time with family and friends.

Chris attended school at Coulee-Hartline for most of his childhood and later earned his GED through Soap Lake High School.

On Mother's Day/Colorama weekend of 1993 in Grand Coulee, Chris joined the carnival industry, where he learned many new skills, including truck driving, and traveled throughout the western United States. The company he worked for wintered in Phoenix, Arizona, where he met and married Gayle. Together they had a son, Timothy James Fields. Chris was also blessed with a daughter, Marissa Demore.

In 2012, Chris began working for Cox Trucking as a long-haul truck driver based out of Dallas, Texas, hauling pipe across the country.

Chris loved to laugh, and those who knew him will remember his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. Throughout his life's journey, he made many lasting friendships.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Chris passed away on May 4, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, with his devoted partner, Elvia, by his side.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Minnie Scott, and Gene and Betty Fields, as well as his father, Edward Fields.
