February 6, 1911, Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States, was born in Tampico, Illinois. Reagan was a skilled orator and was known as the Great Communicator. Prior to his presidency, he served two terms as Governor of California from 1967 to 1975. He was faithful to conservative Republicanism.
