Myra Phyllis Clark

Myra Phyllis Clark passed away suddenly early Sunday morning November 9, at her home in Coulee Dam, Wash.

She was born to Christine Covington and Jack Clark June 11, 1947, the oldest of nine siblings, Pauline (born sleeping) Jacqueline Tynan, her sons Joe and Greg. John Christopher (deceased) his children John Jr, Brian, Sarah, & Ashley. Margaret Ann and her Children Dani and Ray. David Alexander his wife Hannah and children David Jr, Daphne, Benjamin,(deceased) and Olivia. Michael Edwin (deceased) and his daughters Jessica, Melissa, and Vanessa. Frederick Dean (deceased) his children Shannon (Deceased) Susan, Chiffon, Jimmy Jack, and Jaime. Wendy Clark and her daughter Whitney. Her children Steve Isom (deceased), Amber Sheely and Erica Thorn, and grandmother of Mary, Evan, Ashley, Maya Jeffers, and Tristan Jeffers, great grandmother of Aurora Arthur. She's also leaving behind her life friend John St Pierre and his children Robert, Raynee, Rhonda, Rowena, Evonne, Cylia, Adryanna, Bronsyn and many grandchildren.

Myra was a very well educated and devout. Her vast knowledge of all things back to her home community working most of her life for the Colville Confederated Tribes. It was important to her to work for the betterment of the Tribe and its people. She ended her career as Deputy Superintendent, blazing a trail for other women seeking positions of power in the Tribe. She is the former CCT Princess (1965), and the first President of the GCD chapter of the National Organization of Women.

Myra helped many people over the years, including friends and family members. She was admired, trustworthy, and well respected by our community. Her voice of reason and wisdom will be missed amongst all who were blessed with opportunity to have her in their life and know her.
