Portch takes first in Oroville 5K

Caden Portch finished the 5,000-meter course at the Oroville Invite nearly 10 seconds ahead of the next runner while setting a personal record to take first place.

The senior did the 3.1-mile run at Lake Osoyoos State Park in 16 minutes, 46.9 seconds to lead Lake Roosevelt High School’s nine runners in the event.

Cadence Clark, a junior took ninth for the Raiders in 17:58.0.
