Ladies head to districts; take second in league

fter a 10-run win over Okanogan Saturday, 15-5, the Lady Raiders softball team took second in the Central Washington 2B League last night at home with a 4-0 loss to Tonasket.

"We'll try again on Thursday," Coach Mike Steffens said.

That's when the Raiders (14-6) will host the River View Panthers (20-2), from Granger, in the first game of the WIAA District 5 2B Fastpitch Tournament. The game starts at 4 p.m.

Win or lose, they'll also play at Ephrata High School May 17 in game 5 (at 11 a.m.) or game 7 (1 p.m.) respectively. And both teams will go to state in Yakima at the Gateway Sports Complex May 23 - May 24.
