Ronald Ellison Pulsipher was born in Columbus, Ohio, on April 29, 1945, to John E. Pulsipher, Sr. and Jeannette (Nicely) Pulsipher and lost his brief battle with cancer on April 15, 2025, in Tacoma, Washington, at the age of 79.
Ron spent most of his childhood in the Mt. Vernon area and his junior and senior high school years in Lacey, Washington, while attending St. Martin's High School. He was a proud member of the graduating class of 1964 and had a strong bond with the other members of his graduating class. After attending Clover Park Technical College, Ron worked as an electrician at the Bremerton Shipyard and the Tacoma Shipyard before moving to Electric City, where he worked and ultimately retired from the Grand Coulee Dam. Ron enjoyed his many years in Eastern Washington, riding his Goldwing, operating his ham radio, and being a firearms enthusiast. Ron was a Catholic who found great comfort and strength in his faith.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his brother in spirit, Tim Gary. Ron is survived by his daughter Lisa (Heath) Dickerson, daughter Cynthia Pulsipher and grandson Jase Lewis, son James (Tracy) Pulsipher, and grandson Cole Pulsipher. He is also survived by his brothers Stanley (Kendy) Pulsipher, John (Sheila) Pulsipher, Jr., and Dennis (Myong) Pulsipher and their extended families. A special thank you to Tim's son, David (Cathy) Franzman, and their children, who also brought Ron much joy.
No formal services will be held in honor of his wishes.
