Grand Coulee Police

12/4 - Police responded to a report of suspicious circumstances involving a motor home. The report notes that someone was loading items into a vehicle, “which could be stolen.”

12/5 - A suspect was arrested on Midway Avenue and Federal Avenue “in connection with an investigation being conducted by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.” The person was taken to the county jail. The vehicle was “seized by law enforcement.” An additional detail is that a small bag of white capsules was found in the suspect’s coat.

12/6 - Police went to Safeway where a suspicious camouflage style backpack was found near a dumpster. The bag contained tools and a pair of gloves.

- A person had concerns about drug use in an area in Electric City. An officer told the person “what could possibly be done,” about the situation.

12/7 - An officer explained the eviction process to a woman who owns a trailer parked on Grand Coulee Avenue from which she wished a woman to be evicted. There was also some conundrum about a boat, boat trailer, and car being sold. The officer explained the legal circumstances of the situation to her.

12/9 - A woman went to the police department to report a hit and run on her Dodge Caravan. She had a thick accent of some kind and there was a language barrier between her and the officer. The officer observed damage to the driver’s side side-mirror. She explained that, while driving down Camas Avenue, she swiped mirrors when driving past another vehicle in opposite lanes. Due to fog, she couldn’t tell what type of car she swiped mirrors with.

12/12 - A man was going to report his vehicle stolen because a friend borrowed it to go to Nespelem and hadn’t returned it; however, the vehicle was then returned and the vehicle wasn’t registered as stolen.
