Masquers Theater Presents Drama "Love Letters"

In its continuation of the year of well received plays, the Masquers Theater proudly announces its upcoming production of the drama “Love Letters” written by A.R Gurney. This two-person drama is being performed by theater veterans Victoria Drake and Bob Jasmen at the Soap Lake Masquers Theater for a limited run of 4 shows starting April 20th to April 28th. Cynthia Beyer is the director of this play that has been performed by a diverse company of big name actors and actresses over the years.

The play’s two characters are a man and a woman who exchange letters, but not marriage vows, in a warm and complicated friendship lasting 50 years. Because they choose others as mates, and live to regret it, Love Letters has a wistful tone: beneath the sparkle expected from Gurney, sadness and remorse. A play about missed opportunity, the characters keep missing each other but they’re bound to each other. He doesn’t really realize how much she means to him until the end.

The Saturday night shows start at 7:30 and the Sunday shows start at 2pm.
