Earlier this year, two local firemen, Gary Rosco and Leonard Sanders, retired from the Electric City Fire Department with a combined 61 years of service. Rosco retired as assistant chief with 27 years, and Sanders retired with 34 years of service. Both firemen received a custom Pulaski with years of service engraved in them. The retirement party was well attended with family, friends, current firemen and past retired firemen from the department. Chief Mark Payne said the department would like to thank everyone who cooked or brought dishes for the dinner and those who showed up to support retirees.
