Coulee Pride

Remember the Coulee Card. It was handy and fun and I wish it would make a comeback. It is awesome to call the Coulee home. Here are a few people and places I’m proud of that make the Coulee area so special –

Caden Portch represented Lake Roosevelt well at the State Cross Country Championships. Kasey Garvin did an amazing job with the high school Volleyball team. She’s always been a winner! “Clap for the Wolfman” Edward Wolfe and his staff have the top ranked Raider Boys Basketball team rolling with the 1000-point club member Chase Marchand and his senior buddies. Kelly Busche has brought back the Over the Dam Run; long ago my wife and I organized the Addidas Mount Rainier Run so we really appreciate Kelly’s efforts. Scott Hunter and The Star newspaper staff deserve all the excellence in journalism accolades they’re receiving. My father was a smalltown newspaper owner. He was smart because he knew his 7 kids would always insert and deliver the papers when needed.

These upgraded or new business are appreciated: Auntie’s Salon, Coulee Dam Town Hall, the Casino, Harvest Foods, Chevrons, Grand Coulee Gas, Tee Pee, Siam Palace, NAPA, Les Schwab, Eastern Sky, Sub Shop, PK’s, Coulee Hardware, Café Espresso, Hometown Pizza, Horn’s, Birds, George’s and many others.

There is no place like home!!

Happy New Year – We have a lot to be proud of and grateful for,

John M. Adkins
