Season greeted with enthusiasm

Kindergartners at Lake Roosevelt Elementary inflict an overdose of cute on their audience at the school's holiday musical concert Dec. 15. They sang "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas." Events for or featuring kids marked the week before Christmas, with a school pre-holiday musical event kicking off a mood of celebration Friday that packed the Lake Roosevelt gym with a "mind-blowing" number of adults, according to the emcee, Jess Tufts.
