Scam alert

James A. Fox, of Delano, said last week that he’d gotten a call from a number supposedly in Loon Lake asking for information on his Medicare card.

He didn’t give it to them, which is what anyone should do who gets an incoming call — or any kind of contact — asking for such personal information.
