Delbert Hoyt Holland, age 82, of Grand Coulee, Washington passed away Monday, May 1, 2023.

He was born Tuesday, November 19, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan to Hoyt W. & Dicie J. Mosely-Holland.

Lance Corporal Delbert Hoyt Holland served his country with the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.

Then, for over 30 years, sportsmen and sportswomen in the Grand Coulee area and beyond, came to know Officer Delbert Holland as he performed his duties with the Department of Fish & Wildlife.

Delbert loved being in the out of doors himself hunting and fishing, then telling stories of his exploits with sometimes..."dubious accuracy?"

Predeceased by his wife, JoAnn Kahl-Holland in 1989 and both of his parents; Delbert is survived by his son, Dan Holland; daughter, Cindy Holland (Silas Carpenter); granddaughter, Mia Carpenter; brother, Phil Holland; nephew, Brian Holland; niece, Kristen Puckett and his K-9 buddy, "Icky."

A celebration of Delbert's life will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, May 25th, 2023, at the Old Grand Coulee Middle School Gym, 412 Federal Avenue, Grand Coulee, WA 99133.
