Colorama coming May 12-13

Chamber, Ridge Riders making Colorama plans for the annual festival.

Ridge Riders have been adding more seating to their rodeo arena and have hoisted up a new announcer’s booth over the stock chutes.

Chamber members have been busy planning the rest of the Colorama weekend. Chamber officials say the event May 12-13 will again feature the parade, vendor fair, kids’ festival zone, beer garden and live music.

“We want YOU to be part of the fun!” a chamber promotion for the parade reads. “You are cordially invited to participate in the Colorama Festival Grand Parade. … The parade always proves to be a fun event for participants and spectators alike.”

The parade starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning.
