The Lady Raiders met a challenge by White Swan Monday night, fresh off a defeat by the Omak Lady Pioneers Saturday, to win 64-46.
Starting off slow in the first quarter, Lake Roosevelt trailed to finish it behind three points, 11-8.
And by the half the Lady Raiders had just reversed the advantage to lead 27-23.
The pace was about to change.
After the halftime break, Lake Roosevelt went into dominate mode, racking up another 37 points while holding White Swan again to 23 more.
"The girls came out to play tonight," Coach Melissa Meza said. "We've been working on a lot of defense. We even had practice this morning. So, we're just trying to improve on our defense, and we saw that tonight."
That improvement included rebounds, Meza said, noting LR had out-rebounded Brewster on Friday too.
Cylia St. Pierre led the Lady Raiders with 25 points, followed by Carly Neddo's 13, including five for eight of her free throws. Shyanne Marchand put in 11, including three three-pointers.
In Omak Saturday, the Lady Pioneers prevailed over LR 64-43 following the Lady Raiders loss to Brewster the night before. 51-40.
The Lady Raiders hold an overall win-loss record of 4-4, including last night's 63-45 loss in Mabton.
They'll head to Reardan for a tournament, Dec. 29, where they'll play Garfield-Palouse. Then LR will host Okanogan Jan. 3.
