Coulee Dam Police

8/1 - A Camas Street dog had returned home by the time police contacted the owner who had reported the dog missing.

8/3 - An officer spoke to a Fir Street man while looking into a 911 hangup call. The man explained that he didn’t have a landline that could have called 911.

8/4 - A man on Fir Street explained to police that he had been arguing with his wife and went into a shed to cool down. Police determined that no crime had occurred.

- A Pine Street woman was cited for her dog running at large. There have been numerous incidents involving the dog. Tribal police took the dog to their animal control facility.

8/6 - Police went to Columbia and Grant Avenues where a Toyota pickup was in a rollover accident, landing on its top. Police observed Twisted Tea and Coors beer cans around the vehicle, which was registered to someone from LaCrosse, Washington. Police saw that a sign had been struck and thrown about 30-40 feet from its original location, leading police to surmise that the vehicle hit the sign and the driver overcorrected, leading to the rollover. Jackson’s Towing towed the vehicle, and an employee noted that they had just performed mechanical work on that vehicle. Police said they would attempt to get more information when the business was open to try to learn who was driving the vehicle.

- It may be that a Puyallup, Washington man stole his River Drive ex-girlfriend’s debit card and used it to withdraw $300 at an ATM in Coulee Dam, and to make a couple of purchases totalling roughly $150. Police are attempting to get security footage to confirm that he was the one that used the woman’s card.

8/7 - Police didn’t see anyone when looking into a report of a man stumbling down the sidewalk in the area of Civic Way and Holly Street.
