Raider Terek Bush took fourth place in the District 5 tournament at Alta Lake Golf Course on Monday, qualifying him for the state tournament at Deer Park May 24.

At Alta Lake, the Raiders competed with opponents from Oroville, Okanogan, Waterville-Mansfield, and Riverside Christian schools, with the top six boys and top five girls qualifying for state.

"I think all the players were really feeling the pressure and Terek really handled himself well," Head Coach Steve Files said.

Bush finished the course in 106 strokes.

"We're all very proud of his performance," Files said. "Qualifying for state is a big deal, and I think Terek is up for the challenge."

"I'm sad to see the team portion of the season end," Files continued. "We had a wonderful group of young people out for golf this season, and the team vibe was super positive."

Also golfing for LR at the district tournament were Colton Jackson, who finished in 115 strokes;  Cameron Wendt, 123; Trevan Barnaby, 128; Aiden Palmanteer, 138; and Joey Tynan, 142.
