The Lake Roosevelt Knowledge Bowl Team traveled to Wenatchee Feb. 28 to compete in the 2022 regional match where they didn’t qualify for the state round, but showed promise.   

Members Virgil Bearcub, Lily Brandon, Noah Hunt, Celeste LaPlace, Kailah Leadingham, and Peyton Robison went through five oral rounds and one written round to place fifth in the 2B lineup.  

“This match had very challenging questions, and the team was pleased with the results of their written round,” Pam Johnson, who manages the program said. “There has been much improvement since the beginning of the season, and with this many young players, next year is sure to be a promising situation for improved standings.”
