Whether they win or lose against Okanogan in a game for the top spot in the District 6 basketball playoffs, the Lady Raiders have already qualified for the regional round of the state tournament.

The Lady Raiders defeated the Tonasket Lady Tigers in Coulee Dam Feb. 11 with a final score of 69-41.

Tonasket edged into the lead at the end of the first quarter with a three pointer to go up 12-11.

But LR controlled the game from there on out, going on an 8-0 run in the second quarter, and keeping Tonasket scoreless for the first four minutes of the quarter.

LR led 28-20 at the end of the first half and scored 41 points to Tonasket's 21 in the second half for the 28-point win.

The victory means the Lady Raiders will play in Okanogan in the district championship on Friday, Feb. 18, at 6:30 p.m. Both teams will move on to the upcoming regional tournament Feb. 25-26 at neutral locations still to be determined.
