Four more deaths and 1,515 more COVID-19 cases have been reported in the past week in Grant County, with 54 more cases being reported in local towns. 

Coulee Medical Center reports that out of 98 total tests performed at the Grand Coulee hospital Feb.1-7, 24 came back positive for covid.

According to Grant County Health District’s Feb. 3 update, four more deaths have been added to the county’s COVID-19 death tally for a total of 237 since the start of the pandemic.

The deaths include two men and two women, three with underlying health conditions, one unvaccinated and the other’s vaccination status unknown.

They were in their 30s, 60s, and 80s, and residents of Moses Lake, Ephrata, and Soap Lake. 

As of Feb. 3, 11 people were hospitalized with Covid ranging in age from their 20s to 80s in Grant County.

GCHD continues to update case counts only on Thursdays, rather than every weekday.

The Grand Coulee and Electric City area of the county shows 251 total cases since the pandemic began, up by 30 since the Jan. 27 update.

According to Okanogan County Public Health, as of Feb. 2, Coulee Dam has seen a total of 163 cases, up by 19 since Jan. 26.

Elmer City hasn’t had new cases, with 58 total, and Nespelem is up by five cases for a total of 176.
