Raiders lose by one point, then two

The Lake Roosevelt Raiders suffered their first basketball loss of the season at the hands of Almira-Coulee-Hartline, and then their second loss of the season to Okanogan. 

The Raiders lost a road game against Almira-Coulee-Hartline by just one point, 65-64, their first loss of the season Jan. 4. 

Tanner Kiser is well-guarded during a shot attempt against Okanogan.

The Raiders were up 64-63 with 10 seconds remaining when the Warriors made a layup to take the lead, and LR was unable to sink a last-second shot from far away. 

In Coulee Dam three nights later, the Raiders lost another two-point game, 71-69, against the Okanogan Bulldogs.

The game was tight, with LR trailing Okanogan 16-14 at the end of the first quarter, and 32-31 at the end of the half.

LR was scheduled to host Brewster in Coulee Dam yesterday, but the boys' games were canceled.

They are scheduled to play at home against Yakama Nation Tribal School on Thursday, Jan. 13, at 6:15 p.m.

The Raiders travel to away games from White Swan to Tonasket this week. A game is scheduled at White Swan High School at 7:30 p.m., Jan. 14. Another away game is scheduled with Tonasket on Jan. 18, also at 7:30 p.m.
