Wrestlers compete at Freeman Winter Classic

Raider wrestlers traveled to Freeman High School in Rockford, Washington, where they competed in the Freeman Winter Classic Dec. 30.

While there, wrestling at 120 pounds, Raider Colton Jackson placed third in the 120-pound division, pinning Brock Berger of Deer Park 40 seconds into the third period.

Francis Louis, at 138, pinned Harrison Ehland of Freeman 12 seconds into the second period to place fifth; 

Sergio Galicia, wrestling at 182, pinned Richie Arroyo of Okanogan 56 seconds into the second period, placing third.

Landon Krohn, also at 182, defeated Trenton Moore of Cheney 1-0 to place fifth. 

John Desautel, at 195, took fourth after losing the third-place match to Brock Martin of Riverside, getting pinned in the first period. 

Joseph Tynan, wrestling at 285, placed fifth by defeating Skyler Schurger of Mary Walker 3-0. 

Raider wrestlers have a home event scheduled with Okanogan for this Thursday, Jan. 6, at 6:30 p.m. in Coulee Dam. They’ll travel to Leavenworth Saturday, Jan. 8, to wrestle at Cascade High School at 10 a.m.
