OLYMPIA—Citing the high costs per student among small school districts and the opportunity for more efficient use of state and local tax dollars, 12th District Sen. Brad Hawkins (R-East Wenatchee) said last week that he has pre-filed a bill to encourage consolidating school districts to save money on administrative costs.
