County wants to give tourism grants

Grant County wants to hand out money.

The Grant County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) announced Monday that they are seeking grant applications for qualifying tourism-promotion campaigns, events and projects for 2022.

The application period is open from Oct. 11-29.

All grant applications must be received in the county commissioners office or postmarked no later than 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29. Late applications won’t be accepted.

This funding is available only to non-profit organizations and governmental agencies that are applying for lodging tax grant support. These monies must be used within the legal limits established by the Washington State Legislature in RCW 67.28.1816.  

Applicants must also be aware of reporting requirements on how the money is eventually used.
