Five more COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Grant County while the Grand Coulee and Electric City area of Grant County have seen nine more cases.

The deaths include three women from Moses Lake in their 30s, 50s, and 70s, as well as a man from Moses Lake in his 70s and a male in his 80s from the Quincy area. 

All had underlying health conditions and were unvaccinated, according to the Sept. 10 press release from Grant County Health District.

The county has seen 155 total Covid deaths since the pandemic began 18 months ago, and 32 residents were hospitalized as of Monday, down to 18 Tuesday afternoon.

The Grand Coulee and Electric City area of Grant County have seen a total of 120 cases, up by nine since last week, with updates from the health district reporting new cases in the area on Sept. 8, 9, and 13.

In Okanogan County, Coulee Dam has had a total of 94 cases, up three since last week.

Elmer City remains at 30 cases, while Nespelem is up to 107, up by six since last week including four reported on Sept. 13. 

Okanogan County has seen 41 deaths total from Covid. Okanogan Public Health reported Friday that it has seen a total of 161 known “breakthrough” cases of vaccinated residents of 3,884 total cases.

That includes 506 in the last two weeks, for an incidence rate of 1,173 per 100,000 residents.

The Colville Tribes reports 53 active cases on the reservation, with 15 in Nespelem, five in Keller, 21 in Omak and 12 in Inchelium, with 77 people in quarantine.
