Police

7/27 - A Cheney man crashed his convertible into a parked car outside of the ice cream shop on Midway Avenue. The second vehicle moved approximately 50 feet, hitting another parked car. The driver was the only one hurt. He said his head hurt and was taken to the hospital. The owners of the other two cars were in the ice cream shop at the time of the accident. There was no sign of the driver being intoxicated, and he didn’t know what had happened. It appeared to officers he wasn’t paying attention. The 22-year-old driver was found to be unlicensed, his insurance expired, and wanted on two arrest warrants. The jail wouldn’t take him due to booking restrictions. The officer’s report noted it was fortunate no bystanders were hurt.

- Police assisted the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office by responding to Lakeview Terrace where a woman and man were drinking. She said she felt threatened by him. The man agreed to leave and was given a courtesy ride to near Elmer City.

7/28 - Police responded to F Street where a man allegedly kicked a woman. He did not deny kicking anyone. The woman had taken off on foot and police were unable to find her to get her half of the story.

- A man reported that two subjects were seen on camera at his vacant Hillcrest Avenue home. Police went to the address and were met by a realtor who presented a business card, and explained they had been given the door code by another realtor. That information was relayed to the homeowner.
