Vroom vroom! You can see a variety of cars or show off your own at a car show in Grand Coulee on June 19 in a car show being held on Main Street.

The Diversity Divine Auto Show, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will be held by Coulee Medical Center’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sam Hsieh through his organization The Divine Appeal.

“The MO at The Divine Appeal has always been breaking boundaries and challenging the status quo,” a description for the show reads online. “One group that carries this loud and proud is no other than our car scene enthusiasts! It’s time to take those covers off to wash and shine! This is when the Old meets the New and the West meets the East. From Classics to Europeans and Domestics to Imports, [the competition] will blow your mind! No borders, no boundaries, no exception!”

“The idea is for a diversity car show as we have cars from all different age groups and all different categories,” Hsieh explained to The Star. “I want this show to be inclusive and not exclusive. This has always been my ideology for our community.”

The four registration categories include classics (pre-1990), domestics, imports, customs and under-constructions, with winners chosen for each of those categories, as well as for best in show, receiving trophies.

There will be door raffles and prizes at the event as well.

The show is being held during Koulee Kids Fest and Hsieh intends to have a kids activity as well as vendors on his Coulee Plaza property on the end of Main Street.

Although not entering the competition, Hsieh said he will probably have his Shelby truck at the event.
